I believe Havana is a city unlike any other in the world. Walking around sometimes makes me feel like I have traveled back in time due to all the old cars and the thousands of old, crumbling, paint chipped buildings throughout the city. Although, like every city in the world, some parts are not the most esthetically pleasing, there is still something to be said for the realness, beauty, and uniqueness of Havana that I don’t think I will witness anywhere else in the world that I travel to.
Havana is a place so few Americans have truly had the opportunity to experience due to numerous rules and regulations regarding travel and spending money so my goal of this picture blog is to show the real Havana that I am living through my point of view.
(These are all pictures either my sister or myself have taken while exploring Havana and I have included pictures of Old Havana, Central Havana, Vedado (where we live), the malecon, the nearest beach, and towns across the bay).
